Allow addition of an attributes field on Membership forms as for Donation forms
We would use this to collect information on member interests to determine the member journey to allocate the member to.

I would simply just love to ask if they are renewing a membership or not. Not quite sure how this specifically, if not attribute functionality as whole, hasn't been included already.

I'm surprised there hasn't been any movement on this! Anyone know why? Or is new membership form functionality shifting towards another product?

Strongly agree - we would like to capture DOB, recruiter info, etc. We have looked into the option of having a 3rd party vendor (at additional cost) recode the form to include the addition of these fields (within the current fields) however gift processors would have to manually enter the data that is captured. Since this funcationality already exists in the donation forms, seems simple to incorporate within the membership forms.

Agreed, to capture dates of birth, t-shirt sizes, etc. as well.
