Hi Michele, Thank you for the update on this very important function. I wanted to verify that the system is considering soft credits with this merge data. Also, is there an admin function that allows you to set up the criteria for what gifts are considered for these merge fields, in the same way we decide in NXT which gifts count as Received or Committed revenue? Hi all, I am one of the product managers working on the new email functionality that is available in RE NXT. In case you haven't had a chance to check it out yet, we have included some additional gift merge fields in this new feature.

This is really needed.

If there is a problem with different record types (Constituent vs Gifts or Membership, for example) then please allow us to merge on Constituent Attributes - we could then bring in data using imports into the Constituent Attribute from other record types and merge away happily!

This has been a suggestion for over 2 years and has not happened.  Does anyone read these?  This is something so simple and so incredibly important!

Yes, and membership fields, i.e. expiration dates so that we can send out mass renewal emails!

This is such an important feature for making OLX functional for my organization!  Monthly statements, receipts, thank yous...these are the reasons we wanted to be able to send emails.  It is currently not meeting our needs without this function.

Yes, I would like to be able to use OLX to send out our annual tax receipts so need the consolidated receipt fields to be available.

I would also like to use it for welcome emails etc. to our regular givers, even for people who sign up offline, so I would like to be able to include the gift schedule, amount and start date like I can from the donation form acknowledgement in OLX.

Gift field merging - or really any sort of custom merge options - are vital for fundraising organizations. OLX does not meet this minimum standard.
