Read More should be used to read additional text that is hidden until you click on read more
I assumed the Read More button in the Newsletter template would just allow for me to view the rest of the text not take me to a another open box as I can just include a link for that if I wanted them to open a new window of information. I thought the purpose of a "Read More" button was to display the rest of the text if they want more information underneath the "Read More" button. This would be useful in a newsletter so that the newsletter does not look too "wordy" and filled with just text information. So unless they want more information they do not have to click on Read More and see a page full of text.
