Capturing a donor's birthday provides non-profits w/ an opportunity to engage w/ them in a different way; it's another touch point. Currently, the only way to capture a birthday in OLX is through creating a Gift Attribute. Certainly, this can work, but this option is not the best way to do things. Because the info captured is going into a Gift Attribute, this data will have to be queried on, reviewed, & then staff will have to manually add birthday to "Birth date:" in a constituent record.

Additionally, the placement of the Gift Attribute box is not ideal--it sits above the Monthly Donation checkbox, which doesn't make much sense. Gift Attributes are a way for us to capture additional info about donors. Most often that info is going to be biographical, not related to the gift, though it does depend on the purpose of the donation form. A topic for a different conversation.

To the point: I would like to suggest that birthday be added as an Additional Field like Title and Phone. This way the data captured can go directly into the field it is supposed to go into (Birth date:), rather than into a Gift Attribute. I really hope this is something that can be incorporated. Thanks!
