Option for Donors to Cover Credit Card Fees

Online Express should include an option for donors to cover credit card fees. I recently made a donation to a charity and their donation form had that option. It calculated the fees after I inserted my donation amount and then asked if I wanted to offset processing fees. This option would mean more money for your nonprofit!

I agree that this should be an optional add-on. In a previous system we used, I used a fixed fee regardless of donation amount - $2.00 or $3.00, so no calculation was needed. We found 70-75% of donors added the $2.00. It was easy, straighforward, optional, and truly did offset a large percentage of our transaction fees, leaving more money to support our programs.

I disagree. Credit card fees are minimal with BBMS and are the cost of doing business.

You are costing your customers a lot of money. Many systems offer this and most donors use it. It is not hard to do.
