The correct format to enter a Canadian "routing number" is the 3 digit institution ID followed by the 5 digit transit number. The OLX form has 3 issues. First, the contextual help button illustrates where on a cheque these items can be found, but appears to indicate the reverse order (the form only says transit number with no mention of bank ID). Second, the two fields in the form only accept 5 digits in the first field and 3 in the next, so in order to comply with the 5-3 format, you have to enter the 3 digit financial institution number, then 2 of the 5 digits of the transit number, then tab over to continue entering the rest of the transit number. Finally, the fields look like they hold 3 characters and then 3 characters but in reality are different sizes.
