At the moment the loading time of the form is around 2 seconds every time, though this doesn't seem like a lot it is more than you would see on any other form online and looks unprofessional. This delay is also likely to put people off- people expect pages to load in less than two seconds and studies have suggested that 25-40% of people will leave a page if it fails to load in less than 4 seconds!

I was about to load the same suggestion!
It takes too long to load Online Express and Net Community forms. In the few seconds it takes to load some donors will give up and go elsewhere and in emergencies when we can receive over 1000 donations in a single day this really matters. It is not just our website. All sites I have seen that use Online Express or Net Community Forms have this issue and I am on a fast fibre connections, some donors have slower connections.
This is one of the big reasons why our website team do not like using Online Express forms.
My understanding is that the delay is as the webpage connects to our RE database to populate fields such as drop down lists etc. If this is the cause of the delay why can't those fields be saved online so the form can load faster? Whatever the reason improvements in this area would be appreciated.
