Events linking to existing donors in the database for online registrations in the event module.
When doing an event registration, if the event module in RE already has donors/constituents populated it gives us an error with a duplicate registration. In NetCommunity event registrations if the donor already exist in the event module it updates the donor/constituents information to registered. In online express it gives me an error to allow duplicates or will not import the transaction into the event module.

This is a big frustration for us! Our event record also holds all donors invited. It's important to track that they were invited even if they don't attend. It also enables us to create lists from events- like email lists for reminders to those who did not register. It would be great if Online Express would update them to "REGISTERED" if they already exist rather than rejecting them!
Completely agree. We are using Online Express for the first time today, and I have been lucky to do some testing. It is very annoying Online Express can't just update the registration status, and we have to make sure no constituents are linked to the event.
I agree with Joann - we like to preload our donors into our event file to have an accurate listing of whom we invited. We also include specific information on their event records that is internal information and will not come through the connector. I'm stunned to see this problem and am incredibly disappointed that NetCommunity was able to accommodate for this simple request but OLX cannot.
