A few things that are not available currently on the Online Express donation form, that I find important:
- there is no way for us to indicate that only donations of $20 or more are given a tax receipt. It was suggested that I include this in the email thank you, but the gift has already been processed at this point. I need to communicate this before the gift is made.
- legally, we can ONLY issue a tax receipt in the name of the cardholder and it is important for people to know this when inputting the credit card information, If someone gives you $100 and you donate it on their behalf, we are only able to issue the receipt to you, the card holder.
- tribute gifts only offer the donor to include a mailing address. We prefer to send immediate notification of gifts in honour/in memory but now have to send a letter or card.
Thanks for the considerations!

I wish there was a way to add the donor's address to the email notification I receive! Since I don't have automatically import gifts because of duplication, I have to go into OLX and retrieve their address before creating a new record.
As a Canadian Charity, CRA requires that the tax receipt be issued to the "TRUE Donor" and that would be to the person whose name is on the credit card. Otherwise we are not following the rules laid out by CRA and this threatens our charity status. This is quite serious so I do not know why we actually have to "vote" on this to have BB look into making online X tax receipt compliant.
