Include organisation contacts in an email based on Contact Type not Relationship Type.

We already use contact type in the mail module e.g. to determine who gets the receipt in so some consistency would saving having to keep the two fields synchronized.

This would be SO helpful. We have different types of relationships: prime contact (usually President/CEO), event contact, internship contact, etc. When we send emails to these groups, we really need to sort by contact type, since relationship for all of those is Employee/Employer. Without this, we can't send follow-up emails to any of our organizations who sponsored an event because we would have to send it to every single employee email we have on file rather than just those associated with the event.

This is really frustrating. Why would the OLX email marketing segment totally different than export and mail merge? Short of reconfiguring our entire database and using relationship types instead of contact types moving forward, I don't see how we'll be able to use OLX for emails. BLACKBAUD, PLEASE UPDATE!!

This IS CRUCIAL! Without this function, the usefulness of OEX is of limited usefulness for emailing orgs.

We're in the same boat, this would be a HUGE help and align with every other mail job, etc. that we use in RE to communicate with organizations.

Please vote for this to make it a reality! :) It will make all our lives easier!

I am not sure how many RE users understand how important this topic really is, and if they really know exactly who they are mailing to at an organization.  There are many times the contacts we need to email do NOT have the Relationship type required, so we end up having to send those emails through MS Outlook.  It would be extremely helpful if OEX could pull emails from a query and NOT just from a field on the Relationship Tab!
