Online Express requires Gifts to be linked to a constituent and also requires a link to a memorial or tribute. If the required link to memorial or tribute was not required and we were able to import "the gift in memory of notes" the donor entered, this would save an incredible amount of time by not having to download the transactions, verify donors and whether or not there is a memorial, and if not, enter the memorial or tribute by creating a new record for (in this case deceased personas) and then go back to the download transactions to begin processing the gifts. This enhancement would benefit in not having to verify and create memorial records to be linked when there will be no additional contact with the memorialized person. The acknowledgement would be sent to the donor. As an example. I may make a donation in memory of my father, grandfather, and step-mother, noting this on the "in memory of section of an online express form, and the three had no ties to the organization other that I wanted to provide a gift in memory of them. In my opinion, there is no real value in adding each of them with a new constituent record when there will be no additional contact with them in the future. The communication would be with the linked constituent. This would greatly reduce the workload in creating new constituent records only for a memorial/tribute when there is no other tie to the organization. A work around that I have used was to create a "Tribute in memory of" for the gift and list the memorial names and when the list is too long, reference the notes section and list all names in the notes. In this case, it appears the last "in memory of" entered is the one used in the linked records. There appears to be no way to differentiate the "in memory of's". I am requesting the ability to import lists of memorial names entered in the online form by the constituent and have the option to link to a memorial or tribute.
