Currently, my team and I enter information in two places when coding OLX gifts: in Batch, and then in Records. This is because the OLX form allows us to select a Campaign and Appeal on page 1 of the OLX form setup, "Getting Started." But we enter many more fields than just these two into our gift records. We also enter Gift Subtype, Gift Code, Reference, and sometimes Attributes. If we had the option to create an OLX form and manually modify/build out the options on page 1 of setup, "Getting Started," we could assign all of these components of a gift record, for timesaving and more consistent gift-tracking. Instead, what ends up happening is that we open batch view, fill in the information for the fields in batch view, process the gift, close OLX, go to Records, search for the constituent whose gift we just entered, open the gift, and fill in the rest of the information. It is laborious, slow, and full of room for error.
